Dump

Discarded items land in a per-city dump you can search for scrap.

Updated 1 week ago

Every city has its own dump. When you drop items from your inventory, they go there instead of vanishing.

Dropping items

  • Use Drop or Drop all in your inventory.
  • Unequipped items (including drugs) are sent to the dump in your current city.
  • Credit items and auction-reserved items cannot be dropped.
  • Damaged gear keeps its wear when dumped.
  • Each unit becomes its own dump entry.
  • Ownership is cleared publicly — dumped items are anonymous trash.

Searching the dump

Visit City → Dump to search.

  • Costs 2 energy per search.
  • 5 minute cooldown between searches.
  • About a 35% chance to find something useful; otherwise you come up empty.
  • You cannot recover items you dropped yourself.
  • You cannot search while in jail.
  • Finds can include other players' discards and street junk seeded into the dump.

Cities and decay

  • Each city has a separate dump. Trash left in London will not appear in Tokyo.
  • Dump items decay after 24 hours.
  • Selling valuable gear is usually better than dumping it — the dump is for clutter and early-game scavenging, not fencing.
