No detective intel, no kill. Pay for the find, track the window, then be in the same city to shoot.

You cannot attempt a kill without detective intelligence on your target. The shot comes after the search.
Hiring
- Pay detectives to search for a target character.
- More detectives and longer searches improve success chance.
- If you still have new-player kill protection, hiring detectives ends it immediately - same as attempting a kill.
Plan the search before you burn expensive ammo on an empty street.
Tracking
- Once found, tracking lasts for a limited window.
- Follow mode updates last-known location when the target travels.
- You must be in the same city as the target to shoot.
When the window is live and you’re in city: Kills & Assassinations.
